Know Our History

I am a second generation wine producer inspired by my father’s example.

It was with those roots that I later founded my own vineyard and moved away from chemical recipes and standardized crops, to be 100% organic today.

Respect for nature and sustainable vineyard practices are the foundations of our responsible and loving work, where Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Carignan, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Viognier are among our focus varieties.

Rodrigo de Toro Alexander

“To be unique is to be yourself.”

In addition to the geological characteristics, it must be added that these lands, since 2007, have dispensed with chemical products and their fertilization has been with organic compost, allowing the vivification of natural organisms, which means that the expression of the soil manifests naturally, as it was in ancient times.

Our vineyards are planted on land in the coastal mountain range, with winds that come from the sea with cool nights and hot days. The land is of alluvial biological formation, it is land that, at some point in history, was flooded by large rivers. The field has, for its irrigation systems, deep wells and a reservoir that is filled with winter water and whose function is to recharge the groundwater from the underground aquifers, It also allows for the recreation of native flora and fauna, and the observation of different species of animals, including ducks, swans, and beavers.

De Toro Alexander wine is made from the best 1.5% of our total production.

We choose the best 1.5% of our production to make De Toro Alexander wine.

"Only the best 1.5% of our production becomes
De Toro Alexander Wines"

Know Our Wine

Our wines are born from the selection of only 1.5% of our total organic production. In these small plot selections, we carry out diligent work in order to obtain the best quality. Once in the cellar, it is transferred to new or used barrels or stainless steel tanks where it will remain for the next 12 to 18 months, then they are bottled and kept for another 6 to 8 months of maturation.

We are 100% organic and biodynamic farming pioneers.

Our mission is to make reforming wines, with character, respecting and helping nature and people.
